After returning from the Shenandoah Valley, four hikers discover that everyone in their town has disappeared. Combatting their own struggles with addiction and mental illness, they must fight to survive the mental and physical turmoil bestowed upon them. Walking out of the theatre after experiencing our film, there will be one question you will be asking yourself: what does it mean to be a good person?
Mount Skylight began as a short film, which was developed and produced through 2018. While we were thrilled with the results of our production, we always felt our story warranted a much larger canvass. That is why we are thrilled to announce the development of Mount Skylight as a feature film. The film’s production is aimed to begin in the fall of 2020, deep in the mountains of Virginia. Under the direction of James Madison University alum Taylor McNelis, the production team of Mount Skylight is comprised of young, award-winning professionals. We are thrilled to bring our film to fruition, and cannot wait to expand this story.
